NEW WOODEN CHRISTMAS ORNAMENTS FOR 2012

I have created three new wooden Christmas ornaments.  They measure 3 1/2 inches and both sides are painted.  The front side of every ornament is embellished with glitter.

I REMEMBER HALLOWEEN

I just dropped off my Halloween painting, "I Remember Halloween" at the Cahoon Museum of American Art in Cotuit, MA.  It can be found in the gift shop.  It compliments the current exhibit on the second floor of the museum, "All Hallows' Eve".

I love the sounds of the harbor - the ferry boats arriving and departing to Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket and the happy children sailing on the pirate ship for an adventure at sea.
Hours are: 8/25 - 9/2  11am - 8 pm and 9/1 - 9/7  11am - 5 pm

The time is finally here!

I will be at the HyArts Shanties for two weeks starting August 25th - August 31st from 11 am - 8pm.  Find me in the white shanty.

I will be in the yellow shanty from September 1st - September 7th.
Starting September 3rd the hours change to 11 am - 5 pm.

Bella will be going to doggie day care.  She loves it there - Talk To The Paws in Hyannis.

SUMMER CRAFT FAIRS COMING UP

I've been hibernating in my studio painting, painting, painting for my two big craft shows: Cotuit Craft Fest August 18 - 19 and HyArts Shanties on Hyannis Harbor August 25th - August 31st and September 1st - September 7th.

Thought I would show you some of the things I have been working on.

NEW PAINTING FOR JUNE "IT'S A PIRATE'S LIFE FOR ME".

This is my latest painting for June titled, "It's A Pirate's Life For Me".  It measures 8" x 10" and is painted on fabric.
I will be selling 5" x 7" limited edition signed prints at The Cape Cod Maratime Festival on June 9th and 10th in Hyannis Harbor.

MOMMY AND I LOOK SO PRETTY - NEW PAINTING FOR MAY

This is my latest painting.
It measures 8" x 10" and is painted on fabric.
I hope to do twelve mermaid paintings so I can produce a calendar.
This painting reminds me of when I was a little girl and my mother made us matching dresses.  I was so happy - I can even remember the fabric - it was yellow dotted swiss.

APRIL SHOWERS IN THE TUB

This is my latest painting.  The image is painted on yellow polka dot fabric.  I covered a masonite board with the fabric, sealed the surface until it was very smooth and then I start my painting.  I choose fabrics that I love and work my design around the fabric.

I'M AN IRISH LASS - new original painting by J. Augustino

This is one of my newer paintings.  Lately I've been interested in painting on fabric.  For this painting I covered a masonite board with fabric, sealed the surface until it was smooth (it took fifteen coats of sealer) and then I painted my design.  I'm thinking that I'd like to make a calendar with my mermaids.  I've finished four mermaids so far.  If you have any questions about this painting I'd love to hear from you.
